Why do people swear? I try not to but it comes out sometimes. I don't really do it here on message boards because I have more time to choose my words.

Eh. Sometimes when I curse it's to express an idea or point more forcefully. Sometimes it's gratuitous. I don't spend much time thinking about it, they're words and the only value they have is what we give them. However, it's harsh for some folks so I try to keep that in mind.

To emphasize a point of what is conveyed emotionally. Otherwise it is a useless word that I think mainly helps some people who have not healed their shadow side stemming from childhood.
