After a long and semi-storied career I quit drinking and smoking 4 1/2 months ago due to hypertension.

My girlfriend has issues and so I stopped completely. Even if she's not around I won't have one. I think it's supportive.
On a funny note, I find myself going through addict thinking about it now. Man, I could use a beer, etc. I never thought like that.
Anyway, alcohol is extremely destructive to your body and you are best served by staying away or only having a little once in awhile.
Yes, And this past 2 weekends very heavily. 4 day hangovers.
shareYes. I like drinking beers while watching movies. And nothing like an ice cold beer (or should I say beers) on a hot summer day. Or if your camping sitting around camp fire drinking beers. Or on a lake fishing while drinking beers. Or a cold beer with your dinner. Or after a long bike ride drinking some beers. Or after hunting all day meeting up with other hunters in a bar to drink some beers. Or going on a picnic and drinking some beers with your food. Or going to a ballgame and having some beers while watching your team win (or lose). Or when your doing yard work in the summer stopping for a while and having some beers.
