Favorite films of the year so far

We are about to end 2019

So I’d like to ask you guys which are your favorite films of the year so far.

Mine

1 Avengers Endgame.

tell me it’s not a real movie all you want and that I don’t watch too much movies but I loved this movie.

Sure it had its weaknesses but it had really big highs like Tony reuniting with his father, The super tense scene of Vormir and that final battle was really epic . Especially when everyone came out of the portals.

It was the perfect closure to the Infinity Saga.

2 Aladdin

great musical numbers, great chemistry between the main couple and Will Smith Was really fun to watch as the genie.
My favorite number was Prince Ali.

The film feels really magical and it does makes justice to the original without being completely identical but it’s my favorite live action remake of a Disney Classic.

Big applause to guy Ritchie with this movie.

3 Ford V Ferrari
The relationship between Miles and Shelby was really engaging, the car races had me at the edge of my seat and all the performances were really good.

It’s a movie for the whole family to watch and enjoy the film that gets together the most strict cinephiles with the regular movie goers.
It’s fun, it’s moving and really exciting.

4 Extremely wicked, shockingly Evil and Vile.
Very engaging story with very good performances by Lily Collins and Zac Efron.
It’s a very different take of a serial killer movie because it focuses on Ted Bundy’s relationship with his wife than the murderers.

5. Joker
It’s a film that you will like no matter if you like superhero films or not.
If you looking for a comicbook film you will get your small winks to them. And if you don’t you will see it as a great crime drama.

It’s main topic here is: are villains made or born ?
You will get your own conclusions after seeing it or maybe not. But for me that’s the main topic or question of the movie.

Ofcourse Joaquin Phoenix was incredible in this role, it’s the main attraction of this film.

HM to Tolkein.
Great biopic about one of the most important fantasy writers, it’s great To see what inspired him to write his famous Middle earth book series.

It’s a film which is mainly focused on love and Friendship that will make you love this movie so much.

Special mention to Terminator: Dark Fate as an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Throwing in that last film on the list like we wouldn't notice.

I never said it was a particularly strong piece of filmmaking, just an unforgettable theatrical experience. I happened to catch it in the mid-afternoon with a large group of mentally handicapped adults on some sort of field trip/activity day. Audience interaction that day made midnight screenings of The Room and Rocky Horror look civil and restrained.
