IMDb added IMDb TV to their site a while back

IMDb added IMDb TV to their site a while back, supposedly offering the ability to watch selected movies and TV series for free. We watched one episode of something, and then when we tried to watch other things, we kept getting this message: "Video Unavailable. We're experiencing a problem playing this video. For assistance, please go to www.amazon.com/videohelp."; Doing so took us to Amazon Prime, where they wanted us to sign up and give them a credit card number, which we had no intention of doing. We spent almost an hour clicking around, trying to find a way to get information, to no avail, as it just goes in a loop. Finally, we found a number to call. The first person to answer didn't know what IMDb was and finally gave us someone else to talk to, who said Amazon bought IMDb six months ago. He had no idea what the problem was and offered a link, which was the same IMDb help links I had already been rummaging. I think he said they were based in Costa Rica, and I had trouble understanding their heavily accented English. There seems to be no way to actually contact IMDb, and none of the FAQs apply to this problem. I'm hoping someone on this board knows something that will be of use. Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sounds like a scam to sucker people into subscribing.

OK then

Customer No-Service at its best.

We can't even get IMDB Freedive in Canada.

I can get it but they wanted me to sign up and download an app on my tablet so I just went to Amazon Prime and watched it from there since I'm a member..
Even if you don't want to join Prime you still should be able to get a month for free. But, yeah...they'll want your credit card # in case you forget to cancel in 30 days. That's typical.

The thing that irks me most about IMDb freedrive is that Amazon Prime members have to watch the commercials too...seems to me that if you pay $120 a year that one should get ad free entertainment..and the commercials on freedrive are worse than Tubi or Pluto.
