What were you doing in 1985? Good or bad times?
I didn't exist then, so I can't give an opinion.
shareI didn't exist then, so I can't give an opinion.
shareI wasn't born yet, either.
shareI was born that year, so I got nothing.
shareIt was my final year of primary school I was 12. Music and films were fun. I was just starting to realise there was music outside of top 40 and was gravitating towards hard rock and metal.
Good times.
I was battling a mindflayer and trying to close the door to the upside down.
shareI was in Business School at The University of Toronto. Back to the Future and The Breakfast Club were the big movies. The hit songs were Money For Nothing and Take On Me.
shareAnyone here was a big "Golden Girls" fan back in the day? I love that show. I bet it was popular back then.
shareI used to watch it with my grandma all the time. We still love it.
shareMy favourite was Bea Arthur. She was great. Did you know she was actually older than the actress who played her mother?
shareBea Arthur was a marine during WWII, which she denied.

Yes. She was also younger than Betty White.
a year younger. imagine that.
shareI was mourning the death of the one and only true Van Halen.
shareI was in my 4th year in the Marines, realizing I did not want to re-enlist even though they offered me around $15,000 to do so. So not a particularly great time or that reason. A highlight was seeing the Grateful Dead 4/13/85 at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, a stone's throw from our base. Both venue and base (MCAS El Toro) are gone.
