What was your favorite radio station growing up?

My favorite radio station growing up was OK95 (94.9FM Tri-Cities, WA) and it was the then current Top 40 station back in the 1980's/90's, I loved how diverse the station was back in the day, I was sad when it got replaced by a country station back in the Spring of 1996

Kiss 108 (107.9FM) and WBCN (104.1FM) in Boston. Kiss108 is still going strong but like so many other Boston radio stations over the years, WBCN (known as the rock of Boston) closed up shop years ago.

K Rock in New York
They had Howard Stern every weekday morning and classic rock and metal the rest of the time

WABX in Detroit, Michigan.
Free form / Progressive radio from the 60s-70s. On Sundays they'd play a full album like Born To Run or Katy Lied when they were new releases, not to mention playing stuff like The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and Sun Ra and whatever weirdness was out there. Not gratuitously weird, just good stuff that was outside the mainstream. I doubt it was commercial free, but I don't remember any either. It was a magic time to be young and discovering the outskirts of rock n roll.

KSOL in Los Angeles. It was a rhythm n' blues station. I loved it.
