What are your thoughts on Metallica?

Good band.

I like some of their stuff. Most of it is too heavy for my tastes.

Awful, terrible, atrocious, dreadful, horrendous band. Wholly generic songs, vomit-inducing vocals, ear-bleeding guitars, laughable drumming, utterly mediocre bass, grade school failing lyrics and full of a bunch of jerks.

One of my favourite bands. A lot of great songs and great albums. Even at their weakest, Metallica is still pretty good.

Had I been ten years younger when they first hit the scene I might have gotten into them. For a metal band they seem to have a credible reputation. But I'm more of the Deep Purple / Black Sabbath generation, which I listen to occasionally more for nostalgia than thinking it's actually "da bomb."

Not a fan at all.

They're good. But my buddy once described Trivium as "meth Metallica" and now that's all I think of them as XD
