Just looked at that IMDB list. Only seen the following, I guess this is an indulgence (to list all)

The Wolf of Wall Street - enjoyed it
Arrival - hated it. boring. walked out
Hacksaw Ridge - backstory boring, awesome once the action starts
Skyfall - not really a Daniel Craig as Bond fan.
Hell or High Water - overrated by the critics
Dunkirk - ok, should have been better
The Shape of Water - walked out after about 20 minutes
I, Tonya - I liked it
The Social Network - I liked it
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - walked out after about 20 minutes
Bridge of Spies - should have been so much better. Don't think I made it to the end
Dallas Buyers Club - really liked it
Steve Jobs - not bad
The Big Short - one of my faves
The Imitation Game - one of my faves
Wonder Woman - started strong but I eventually walked out
Jackie - not bad
True Grit - meh
Star Wars The Last Jedi - ok, maybe as good as its going to get these days
The King's Speech - one of my faves
Lincoln - mostly pretty good
Doctor Strange - started strong, didn't make it to the end
Guardians of the Galaxy - didn't get it, walked out
The Founder - one of my faves
Shutter Island - ok I guess
Black Swan - interesting but weird
Aquaman - walked out after 10 minutes
Winter's Bone - really liked it
The Master - pretty good

To sum up: My favorites were

The Imitation Game
The King's Speech
The Founder
The Big Short

(edited to add: just noticed that all 4 are based on real people)

Re The Founder, I thought Keaton was excellent as the stereotypical glib salesman turned ruthless corporate shark.

My favorite scenes

When Kroc buys his first Mcdonald's hamburger, then gets a tour of the operation
When Kroc recruits the Jewish, bible-selling(!) door-to-door salesman
When Harry Sonneborn meets Kroc, then explains to Kroc how to build an empire
When Kroc, near the end of the movie, tells Richard McDonald that even he (McDonald) doesn't know what the secret of McDonald's success is, then says what it is

Yes, those scenes pretty well chronicle that evolution.

I am unable to choose one movie (the subject title says "Best Movie" - singular), however my top ten are ...

Darkest Hour (2017) - Gary Oldman was amazing -- hard to believe the same person was the bad cop in Leon: The Professional
The Post (2017) - I was going to college in Washington DC during that time period, so it brings back memories
Hidden Figures (2016)
Bridge of Spies (2015)
St. Vincent (2014) - Bill Murray was 'effin great
Chef (2014)
Lincoln (2012)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - definitely a guilty pleasure movie
Win Win (2011)
The King's Speech (2010)
