I've noticed that a lot of my favourites from the 70's are still influenced by the movies I loved as a kid

Burnt Offerings
Taxi Driver
Assault on Precinct 13
Freaky Friday
Marathon Man
Ode to Billy Joe
The Shootist
The Town that Dreaded Sundown

I love Burnt Offerings.

I'll agree on "Ode to Billy Joe" - Robby Hansen (I think), who was also in "One-on-One" (collegiate basketball flick), and his acting is SO bad.

As for "Taxi Driver", was there a particular actor you thought didn't do a good job? I thought De Niro was very good, and Peter Boyle is always great.

Silver Streak!

(It's not perfect, but definitely my favorite movie from 1976.)
