I can grok your feelings for Poseidon. It's a thriller that tries to push your sympathy buttons. It's like a combination of The Towering Inferno and The Love Boat.

Didn't cut and paste at all, went through nearly 30 pages to find out what my favorite films from 72 was lol. Took me a hour to write them up lol. I wish it was cut and paste. I dont know what year the films came out where you live but they were on the 72 list.

What I found interesting is the styles seem to be so varied I wouldn't have thought they all came out the same year. A very impressive list and I'm not familiar with many of the titles.

If you go through most of these best of 70's lists you definitely see why I think the 70's produced the best films. You get over 20 all times classics in one year. You should check out every film on the list, definitely recommend them all.
