Three movies you can't believe are directed by the same person

Rising Sun
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Right Stuff

Gunga Din
A Place in the Sun
Shane

Joel Schumacher for:

The Lost Boys
Batman and Robin
8MM

EDIT: I didn't realize he also directed A Time to Kill. Obviously a talented director (B&R aside) but he really is a chameleon with no distinct style to his films.

I was also thinking of Schumacher! I won't comment on the quality of his movies (I probably would've mentioned St. Elmo's Fire), but his body of work sure is very diverse.

reply

George Stevens for the last three.

Citizen Kane
Macbeth
The Trial

Gladiator
Thelma and Louise
Alien

Stalag 17
The Emperor Waltz
Sunset Boulevard

reply

Lorenzo's Oil
Happy Feet
Mad Max: Fury Road

George P Cosmatos, definitely a hack.

Pretty much all of his movies were terrible, including Leviathan, Rambo 2...and then he does Tombstone.

It just did not feel like one of movies at all. And I think there is probably some weight to the rumour that Kurt Russell probably directed most of it.

This is all fine and dandy, but what about your opinion of George Miller's works?

reply

He did some odd movies for sure after the Mad Max trilogy...I would have said he was a spent force, but he redeemed himself with Fury Road.

Uwe Boll

In the Name of the King
House of the Dead

And...Rampage

Such a weird transition.
