2007 was an underrated year for film.

I never realized it, but there were some great films released that year:

No Country for Old Men
Ratatouille
There Will Be Blood
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
The Mist
The Bourne Ultimatum
Zodiac
Superbad
Hot Fuzz
American Gangster
Gone Baby Gone
4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days
Michael Clayton

Yes indeed.

No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood are both absolutely amazing and I have thought of 2007 as a year of great films in an otherwise mediocre era.

Death Proof is all time favorite QT film and came out in 2007 as well.

Knocked Up
Juno
Mr. Brooks
Blades of Glory
Trick 'r Treat
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
The Darjeeling Limited
Once
Boy A
In The Valley Of Elah
The Savages

So, out of all this dreck, I see 3 movies I would even watch

reply

I wouldn't say "dreck". They're just sort of second tier because of all the other movies that were already mentioned.

reply

hi

reply

i enjoy everyone of them. I'm broadminded, from low brow - to high brow.
2 of them i rated 10/10. But again, like samoanjoe said, they're not my absolute favs of 2007, just the ones that were not mentioned. What about you? Put your money where your mouth is and list your favs of the year that have not already been mentioned.

Planet Terror
Disturbia
Starter for 10
Mr Brooks
Sunshine

Only 3 of those are great.

reply

I'd say 5 are great, 3 are pretty good and the rest are just good.
