Do you ever wonder if there is a celebrity lurking on these boards?
I think about it. I imagine someone like Kevin Smith would be here.

Me too!
sharePaul Le Mat was posting a lot, but under a screen name and never told anyone anything that would give him away until the last day. Casper Van Dien used to openly post on his own board. The indie director Greg Pritikin posted on the boards for his movies, one was "Dummy."
A Hollywood director used to post regularly on Film General - his movies were not hugely known but he had a solid body of work behind him and we all knew who he was by name.
I've also read the same thing someone upthread said about David Duchovny checking out forums and websites and nobody believing it was him - I recall him saying the same on Jay Leno I think it was.
There was a well known actor who used to get into fights with trolls on his own board - his name escapes me now but a lot of people knew he used to get into it with arguments with people posting.
It's never the good actors.
sharePrelude, that’s very good. We need more droll here. Bravo.
That wasn’t a typo. I meant droll and not troll.
I'm not sure what you mean by that, R, lol!
Neither drolling nor trolling :) I was being absolutely genuine - those celebs were quite well known to be posting on the IMDb boards. Paul Le Mat "came out" on the final day - I think it was the Books board because he posted a lot about books and publishing, since these days he's a writer -- and a lot of us were conversing with him.
No.

That's an interesting question. Mmmm......maybe.
😎
i have been a member of a prince site for years. still post there semi-regularly. after prince died, the mods stated that prince did have an account there, mostly lurked but occasionally posted. they haven't given his username(s), so no idea what he might have said.
as silly as it may sound, i hope i never said anything that would offend him. i genuinely loved prince & his music.
Gotta give props where they're due...and I'm not sure Prince got enough of them. The guy wasn't just a musical genius and one of the best guitar players ever, he was apparently one of the nicest people you'd ever met. From what I've heard anyway. Kudos to Prince!
