Scary moments in film that actually made you laugh your ass off?

When Chucky talks to the mom after she threatens to throw him into the fire if he doesn't say something in "Child's Play." It's been a while but I think he calls her a "stupid bitch" and a "filthy slut." Anyway, it's comedy gold.

Merill reacting to the alien on the tape in Signs.

reply

So funny.

reply

Yeah, the way he flinches and backs away covering his mouth kills me every time XD

Great scene πŸ‘Œ

"Move children! Vamonos!"

The scene in Insidious where Darth Maul is behind Patrick Wilson.

reply

That got me the first time a little. But every subsequent time I can't stop laughing. Especially because of Barbara Hershey's reaction to Maul.

The pirate ghosts/ghost pirates in The Fog.

Child's Play is hilarious. To me, it's a comedy. I've never watched one of them from beginning to end but the voice makes me laugh immediately.

reply

Same with Freddy. The first Elm Street is still a little scary ... but the rest are ridiculous.

reply

yeah, good point. Not as absurdly funny as Chuck but still funny.

reply

Ha, true. The later in the series Nightmare on Elm Streets are ridiculous. Freddy delivering punch lines again and again. Its like hes sitting with Johnny Carson, ha.

reply

I remember Freddy's Nightmares. He would introduce the stories and jam in some lines.

reply

He did show up as a late night talk show host in "Dream Warriors."

reply

I couldn't stop laughing at the obvious dummy that gets pulled through the window at the end.

reply

"Chucky says Aunt Maggie was a real bitch and got what she deserved"

reply

That dude in Jurassic Park who got eaten while he was at the toilet.

reply

Spielberg included that scene because he hates lawyers.

reply

the head turning in The Exorcist is funny now.

The nanny hanging herself in The Omen - "Look at me Damien. It's all for you!"

I always had a problem with the scene in the forgotten cemetery where the jackal (mother to Damien) was actually given a grave with a marker. Did the corrupt priests involved in the conspiracy feel beholden to Satan to give the animal a proper, Christian burial ? Didn't laugh my ass off but it was so ridiculous and illogical.

Suspiria (2018)

The scene where the neck is separated then put back in it's suddenly connected and the person was like oh. But then it separates again and the person was like switched off (insert Windows shut down sound here.) That's goofy AF!

Even more hillarious is that the movie is 3 hours long and there was no single funny scene at all except that one. So out of place, LOL.

I watched that the other day. Biggest pile of shit I have seen in years. Self-indulgent, feminist crap that had no redeeming features that could have made it so great, like the original movie. I had been looking forward to seeing it but wish I hadn't now.

Dallas's death scene in "Alien." When the xenomorph reaches out for him he looks like he's going to hug him or something.
