R.I.P. Malkovich (not the actor)
I see you have decided to leave the community. Good luck.
sharehe was a wise man
share"He'll be back" (maybe with a new username)
shareI liked him. He could be exasperating at times but he came up with some interesting topics and could talk intelligently about anything.
So he posted a lot. So what..That can be therapeutic if you can keep the inevitable negativity in perspective.
Having work or other things makes it easier to back away when it's time to but if you're at home a lot it's easier to dwell on something. Dwelling on the negativity can be a real affliction of the sensitive or depressed no matter where you are or what you're doing..
He posted contradictory things all the time to bait arguments and then wouldnĀ“t even reply to them, I always thought he was just a troll with too much time on his hands.
shareI'll pop the champaign.
shareDonāt pop it. Popping waists the valuable carbonation. Remove the wire basket from around the cork. Keep one thumb firmly on top of the cork to keep it from popping on its own. Very dangerous! Once the wire basket is removed from the cork, grasp the cork FIRMLY with the hand whose thumb had been holding the cork, and then (this is the key), while holding the cork motionless, twist THE BOTTLE AROUND THE CORK. Gently remove the cork, pressing it firmly down on top of the bottleās neck to prevent carbonation leakage. Now enjoy a FULL bottle of bubbly.
shareAh, I was just using an expression. I'm not a fan of champaign, actually. :)
shareI thought as much (which is a shame, because there is some kind of Champagneš¾ for everyone), but I saw the opportunity to share some knowledge, maybe de-mystify Champagne a bit and make people feel more encouraged to sample it.
shareI think it's just too dry for me, and too bubbly. Oh my god, I wrecked the spelling of it too. Sorry about that.
shareThen you would like Champagne, or the more affordable Methode Champagnoise, in the Sec (sweet) format. For a real treat, pour some Framboise (Raspberry liqueur) into it. For a really fun night on the town date, order a bottle of cheap bubbly and a carafe of Framboise. The bill will be much less than for a bottle of vintage French stuff, and women will love it!
