What’s the most disappointing place you’ve ever visited?

For me, Stone Henge - if anybody is thinking of going there, don’t bother; it’s completely underwhelming.

New York or Paris

Most impressive Cancun, beautiful.

Interesting. A college buddy of mine lived in South Dakota for a while and I visited him there a few times. Once I suggested seeing Mount Rushmore. He said, not worth the trouble. He lived at the eastern end of the state, near the Minnesota border, and Mount Rushmore is at the western end, near Wyoming. He had made the trip earlier and it sounds like his reaction was similar to yours with Stonehenge -- "It was a 800 mile round trip, and when I got there it was just four dudes carved into a mountain. So what."

YOUR BACKYARD...I MEAN,I STILL BURIED MY BONE...BUT I WAS EXPECTING A WELL TRIMMED AND MAINTAINED LAWN.

I visited Amsterdam in the early 1980's and I didn't like it. Much dirtier than most bigger European cities, lots of litter. People weren't very good looking, either, like the opposite of Paris.

Not a lie.

Rain is not permitted here - by law!

reply

Well that's a bit harsh, Rain isn’t bad for a tribute band!

I wonder what happens to those Beatles bands when they get too old.

reply

They become Wings / Traveling Wilbury tribute bands.
