I know I usually speak against such violent and angry language online, but in this instance I encountered an individual who described the Holocaust and the deaths of six million Jews as 'another lie'.
Admittedly, I probably should have confronted them another way, but the fact that people are still denying the Holocaust makes my blood boil.
I don't really wish anyone death, but I can't help but feel that anyone still perpetuating Holocaust denial deserves to be spoken to in the harshest way possible.
Am I wrong, or are there some instances where it is acceptable to speak to people as I did in this instance?
Do you ever, ever get off that soapbox of yours? Please, just please post about something else for once. You live, eat and sleep this topic of “woe are they” and “Woe is me!” I have a feeling you go to bed thinking about your next post, tossing and turning wondering what to say on that soapbox. “Oh, dear! What race, ethnicity, lifestyle can I rescue with my kumbaya speech tomorrow?” You are so damn depressing!
I have an idea Mr. Pollyanna...why don’t you volunteer at a homeless shelter, serve at a food kitchen, travel to where disasters strike to assist, help build homes for the needy, work at the Salvation Army, etc. Get off your duff from behind the keyboard with tears streaming down your face and do something for/about your causes. Words are cheap...actions come with a price....the giving of your time.
BTW, after reading your posts, I wouldn’t listen to you either....no matter the subject. I would turn you off in a heartbeat!🙈🙉🙊 You remind me of those holier than thou folks standing on a street corner (or soapbox) holding a bible, shouting at passersby “Repent! Repent! Repent! Woe is me, Repent!”
How do you know I'm not doing any of the things you suggest I do? As it happens, I do some of those things (the things you list that I'm allowed to, anyway - unfortunately, if you'd ever investigated, you'd discover that they don't just let anyone work for the U.N. and other international relief organisations and charities).
I was suggesting that kspkap should investigate the jobs and voluntary positions he suggests for me. Unfortunately some of them are not open access. Some of them require quite high hurdles.
I always said that wishing misery or death on someone that demented and miserable is redundant; just living out their lives brings it's own punishment.
OTOH, while I wouldn't wish death on someone like that, I concede that I would rather enjoy it, particularly if it was painful and slow.
I don't truly wish death on anyone, but I feel that such hateful people really need a wake-up call, and in this case I think diplomatic and reasonable language is wasted on them.
