What movies, and why.. Maybe it was youth, maybe you were tired on the first viewing, etc?

The Thing
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Patton
12 Angry Men
Hondo
The Alamo
dracula
village of the Damned
Jaws

reminds me I haven't seen "The Alamo"

I do remember the first 15 minutes of "Hondo" telling SO much, without being heavy-handed.

Are you talking about movies you want to rewatch just once, or ones you can re-watch over and over?

reply

I was referring to movies that you might like more the 2nd time.... Maybe you were too young, maybe you weren't paying attention, etc..

Or in another case, I want to see some heralded classics I didn't like the first time, "Dr. Zhivago" being one of them.

Here's a movie I "wanted' to rewatch : Wizards (1977) I saw it in the theaters when I was a kid (7, I suppose - I barely remembered it, except that it was "cool".) I saw it again when I was maybe 30. I did not like it.

Hitchcock. ALWAYS something new to discover.

Lawrence of Arabia

I think I saw this twice, and didn't like it at all (same with Dr. Zhivago, but once was enough), but I've thought of re-watching, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon. I can't imagine a big disparity between the last viewing and the future.

I read a bio on TE Lawrence a few years ago so I need to see it again.

Some Like It Hot
Bagdad Cafe
St. Vincent
any of the "screwball comedies"

They are all basically comedies or at least uplifting.
