Well, at one house across the street they leave them up and on all year long. I think it was two years ago, at Halloween time, they put up two lame strings of lights, one green, one pink. They sort of draped them over one side of the porch railings and then up around the support beam for the porch roof and the grapevine wreath hanging below it. They're on 24/7. Talk about tacky...and I still don't understand the color choice for Halloween. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
I've noticed quite a few houses that leave their lights up all year long, but at least they stop turning them on. I see them wrapped around pine trees and bushes when I walk by, and can't help but wonder how long they'll last if they're subjected to the elements all year.
