Your favorite female directors?

For me it is definitely Nora Ephron, she used to be such a sophisticated woman, her dark sense of humour, and sensibility for well developed characters, easy going fun fast pace style. So few films she's made, but every single one is a treasure, never a cheap chick flick, always a film with larger and deeper outlook on certain things of life people used to go through.

Elaine May would be another, loved every film she was involved in creativelly.
Léa Pool,a Canadian art form filmmaker
Stacy Title (The Last Supper, Bye Bye Man)
Catherine Hardwicke (Miss Bala, Red Riding Hood)

I will always admire Patty Jenkins for making the brilliant "Monster", and for somehow managing to make a dreaded DCEU assignment into a gem.

Lesli Linka Glatter and Michelle MacLaren. They both primarily work in television, though.
