Terminator 2 (1991) is rated higher than The Terminator (1984)

8.5 to 8.0. I have never watched Terminator 2. Is this rating valid ?

I really liked T1 and watched it a bunch of times. I watched T2 once and just didn't care for it. And then all the Star Trek geeks were pontificating about what a masterpiece T2 was and you had to be an idiot to not agree, and I've never given it a second chance. I'm pretty anal about some things and I didn't like the villain in the first movie being the hero in the second...

I have watched both this week. both are good but I would give the end to number 1.

I love both movies, but prefer the second. Just thought it was more polished, more classic scenes, and better action sequences. Both are all-time classics and T2 is probably my favorite Cameron movie. That or aliens.
