I wouldn't necessarily call it underrated. Excellent film

reply

its not underrated.

it is considered by many critics to be one of hitchcock's greatest films.

reply

Really? Frenzy is considered one of his best? I thought it was one of his worst. I´m throwing my hat in for The Lady Vanishes. I know its highly regarded in the UK but in the USA its barely known in the mainstream.

reply

yourare probably right, i am over-stating it. it was his penultimate feature film, and considered a return to top form.

i consider it to be singularly, memorably horrible.

reply

I rarely hear Rebecca mentioned, but I have seen it hailed at least once by a film scholar type as Alfred's best.

Have you seen it? I have not, but I need to.

reply

I've seen it several times and it's definitely ( oops ) worth a watch. One of Hitchcock's best endings in my opinion, emphasizing his macabre sense of humor.

reply

Definitely, or specifically? ;)

reply

A solid 8/10. Not underrated but underseen I would say.

reply

on my list, don't think i've seen.

reply

Not a fan.

"The Birds" is said to be his worst. It's one of my favourites from him.

reply

It is a masterpiece imo.
