Im decorating the real tree by a cozy fire and spinning some records with the family...
The garage (my favorite 'room' in the house!) could use a good tidying...
I have a few movies and a well stocked bar for plenty of relaxing after the fam heads to bed...

We are Christmas shopping tomorrow in search of the great winter jacket for our son. I have to go along as a model to try on the jacket as we are about the same size. Christmas tree (artificial) will go up on Sunday.
shareFunny thing, one of my work buddies showed up this morning in a new North Face Jacket and i complimented him as it looked warm and toasty...we got to talking about winter coats (mine is a really trashed old Carhartt and i need a new one)
I mentioned in vague terms (i did not mention your handle nor this site) that i spoke with a Canadian fellow about coats recently and he was thinking of spending a lot of dough on a sub-zero coat...
Turns out my work buddy knew a thief that used to steal nice winter coats (and lots of other things) by the rack off of trucks in The Bronx and $600-$800 coats were top sellers
The thief would do a brisk business by giving them away for $200 or so apiece!
He has been in jail for a good long while now
Anyway, the consensus amongst my buddies was that $700 or so was reasonable

It is not unreasonable here in Canada especially for someone like my son who works outside in the winter. Some of the infrastructure he has to test is not accessible by truck so they have to travel by snowmobile. So having one of those sub zero jackets is a necessity not a luxury. Here another one we're looking at $670.00.

And yes, those coats are mostly bling down here in NY but probably life saving in your area
The hoods all seem to have great clothes in NYC (God forbid they look after their kids, they need to look nice)

shareMy artificial tree is already up, but I plan to put up some outdoor Christmas lights on Saturday and a few more indoor decorations this weekend. Dog-sitting for a couple of days, too. I'll probably go over and harass Mr and Mrs Neighbor at some point, too - very nice people, like having a sister and brother next door. Oh, and Mr Neighbor shoveled my driveway while I was away today. 😘 Love them both!

shareI think Mrs Neighbor harassed me this time. She likes to call me when she's had a few, which is exactly what she did tonight. I stayed only about 15 minutes but during that time Bailey got into some mischief. She helped herself to my hamster Slinky's treats and left seeds all over the floor. She also rummaged through a couple of wastebaskets. 🙄
shareI have a bitch of a toothache and can't get in to the dentist until Monday (my toothaches always start at the end of the week when their office is closed), so I say Monday can't come fast enough. I'll be spending the weekend popping pain pills and cursing life.

shareThanks. Yeah, there are few things worse than a toothache. I have a friend who gave birth to a 10-pound baby and said that was a walk in the park compared to tooth pain. Her exact words. I'm not a woman, but I believe her.
