Hot dogs or hamburgers?

Hamburgers.

So first off, you make a burger (pretzel bread bun recommended).

Then you put one slice of cheese on it.

Before this, you have taken several hot dogs and have shredded them (at a 45 degree angle) on a coarse (large gauge) cheese grater. You have seared the shredded hot dog hash in a pan.

Pile the seared shredded hot dog hash on top of the first slice of cheese.

Then add a slice of cheese on top of that, or pour melted cheese sauce over the hot dog shreds so it seeps down into them.

Top with any other condiments you wish. If you use dill relish, it is advisable to mix it into the hot dog shreds prior to the cheese application. It is also advisable to put the condiments on before the hot dog hash, FYI.

Congrats, you now have the Ultimate American Heart Attack Dog-Burger, © 2018 Frogarama.

The only reason that might cause a heart attack is because of the bun. The American Heart Association has been blaming meat to protect vegetable oil and sugar as industrial substitutes. Look up the 7 Country Study which this is based on. 7 countries were cherry picked from 22 countries in order to fake an association. Then you can enjoy your delicious recipe guilt free.

Thriller... every once in a while you post something great that lets me see the real person behind your account.

Yes, I practice a high protein high fat diet, the two things our body needs. I also try to get as much of my sugar as I can from natural sources like raw sugar, or honey. I don't touch anything "diet" because it's packed with BS chemicals. I do try to eat fruits when I can, but I get enough vegetables, and try not to cook them too much.

I also believe in variety to get a wide range of nutritional input, but it's tough. Two of my favorite sources of variety are buffalo meat and varying wild mushrooms.

I'm lean and healthy and energetic, look at least 10 years below my age of 41, and people wonder why I can eat the way I do while seeing salad-eaters gain weight yet having no energy.

Speaking of my appearance, last month I got carded once for wine, and it was a new lady at the store... She looked back and forth at my license for about 15 seconds, making sure it was me and it was legit. I was flattered!

Then I got carded for cigarettes (one of my vices but I don't smoke a lot), and the guy at the gas station literally looked over my license for TWO MINUTES! He asked me my age, and when I told him 41, he said "You're not 41!"

He eventually relented and let me buy them because I guess I at least passed for 18, but I get carded constantly. All my life I've been mistaken for being younger than people who were significantly younger than me. No gray hair, no hair loss, no extraneous body fat. I have a great metabolism and I am rarely not in a great mood (but I'm legitimately bipolar so that influences both the positive and negative sides of my mood, and I do have to refrain from indulging in stresses and anxiety in order to avoid an onset of a potential manic episode).

do you eat dairy and bread ??

reply

Yeah, I try to cut down on bread when possible, and stick to whole grain or multigrain as well.

Dairy - A little milk, mostly cheese, which is good due to the concentrated fat content and the cultures that cause the cheese to form.

Multicultural!

Also, thanks for the info on the 7 Country Study, I'm reading up on it.

My secret diet has always been to eat what I crave. I always presumed it was a chemical trigger from my body telling me what it needs.

Turns out, there is true science behind that! It's no different from thirst causing a craving for water.

Hamburgers! I've had hamburgers that actually rated such superlatives as 'Epic' and 'Awesome'. Best hot dogs ever rated 'pretty good'. Brats sometimes edge up towards 'Epic' territory; the only tube steak type entree that ever rated 'Awesome' for me was at a BBQ place with jalapeño-cheddar Elk sausage.
