Denzel is the man. I missed most of these and some are on my "to watch" list, to which I will now add Virtuosity (and thanks for your recommendation).

Man on Fire 8.5/10
The Book of Eli 8/10
Ricochet 7/10
Training Day 8/10
Crimson Tide 7/10

Crimson Tide is a tougher call but I think of both of them as action movies.

^^^

Its also either Russel Crow's Debut film or One of His first Leads....

He plays A Ruthless Serial Killer and is fantastic.

I haven't seen many of his films, but I really liked Devil in a Blue Dress.

reply

Many of mine have already been mentioned. I'll add :
Out of Time ( 2003) 7/10. It's a nicely paced, taut thriller that should be included in the action genre because it contains plenty. It also features two of cinema's most sensually beautiful women in one film, Eva Mendes and Sanaa Lathan.

Training Day and Man on Fire cemented it for me
Denzel is a blast in the toughguy roles

He is pretty much great in everything but hells bells, when hes after a dude with a gun in his hand hes as good as Bruce Willis!

reply

You listed every single one of them

reply

that was the point....

To rank and rate Denzel Washington's action movies...

everyone would have them in different order, But thats the point, I wanted to see The order...

Being a huge Sci-Fi fan I must say this:

Virtuosity (1995) and The Book of Eli are my favorite Denzel movies. I know, I'm in minority with this
