In America it's called football. Football in the UK is soccer.

In the UK it's called football. In the US and Canada it is called soccer.

Even in the US soccer is sometimes called football too: LAFC, FC Dallas, Atlanta United FC, Seattle Sounders FC and Minnesota United FC for example. FC means Football Club.
