Sept. 11th. Never Forget....
Hard to believe it has been 18 years already.
Correction. 17 years. My newscaster had it wrong.

Today is the anniversary of my policy, as a former journalist, of actively and aggressively avoiding all sources of news, and I am a much happier person as a result. What a profoundly sad comment on the legacy started by Edward R. Murrow, and corrupted by the modern news industry.
shareWill never forget it. All the way over the other side of world in the land down under, we looked on in horror and disbelief.
shareI don't know how a thread started to remember a horrific day in the history of the US, and the world, devolved the way it did, but thank you for posting it, MissMargo.
It's a day etched in my memory.
To all the victims, their family & friends, and everyone affected by it, ❤️
Oh, these threads have a way of traveling way off track, don't they? I actually didn't even realize that so many other things had happened on this date.... not this particular date. This thread and this whole board is just full of pearls of wisdom. 😉
Yes, 9/11 is one of those days that we can remember vividly. We can remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news. It was so shocking, how could we not?
❤️ I'll second that emotion.
Ten pregnant women died on that day. So Sad.

And approximately 3,000 babies were aborted in the United States on that day but not too many seem to care about that.
