People who choose Pepsi over Coke...

I just can't fathom it.

reply

What about those who don't like either one?

reply

That's fine. But having the nerve to choose Pepsi over Coke, I just don't get. Such inferior taste.

reply

It is pretty nervy of them. What kind of person willingly admits to having no taste?

Down in The Bronx the Dominicans REFUSE to drink the American Corn Syrup Coke...our US Corn Syrup is gross to lots of immigrants
They are not wrong...lots of them grow the cane and think we are nuts!

Many Bodegas in NYC have real Coke, in the little bottles, with SUGAR, not that corn syrup stuff

reply

Quite a few of the regular grocery stores here carry the little bottle real Coke here. Until recently, I didn't know the difference was it's made with sugar, and the US stuff with corn syrup.

reply

I have no idea if we get the American Corn Syrup Coke in Australia. I haven't heard about it. Vanilla and raspberry coke taste pretty good though some disagree.

reply

The HFCS is one of the reasons why we have an obesity problem. It can also cause plaque to stick to arteries. The manufacturers use it as a preservative and is much more cost effective than sugar. I attempt to purchase groceries without the nasty stuff. I’m a coke drinker so I order a case of long neck Mexican coke which contains sugar instead of HFCS. It also has more fizz.

reply

Theres a Mexican restaurant here that has the Coke, along with other imported sodas.

A long time ago when I was in the Caribbean, I bought a bottle of flavored Bacardi that had a brownish tint to it. At first I thought there was something wrong with it, until I realized it was probably cane sugar.

I'll have to visit NYC and taste the sugar coke. But would they let a Gringo like me into the Bodegas?

😎

Confidence, good manners and the look of a fellow that doesnt give a shit helps in the ghetto buddy...you will get rolled up in a bag right quick otherwise...not a joke

You would do just fine MMC
Just remember, nobody is your Amigo there and the parking is a horror story and they WILL steal your car parts when you aint looking
And ALWAYS be prepared to throw hands at the junkies, street corner gangsters and trannies...

The sugar Coke is very good though

reply

Thanks for your confidence, Shogie, but I was jesting. Can you get the sugar coke in the good areas of NYC?

BTW, "throw hands"??

Your welcome.

reply

Arsey Cola?
Is it angry cola or does it taste of bottoms??

reply

The best cola there is.

reply

Yeah, I've always preferred Coke over Pepsi. I think Coke has a little less of (one thing) and a little more of (another thing).
I forget exactly what it is, maybe calories and carbonation, idk. But to me, Coke has more flavor and isn't any worse for your health than drinking Pepsi is.
I worked at a place that stocked Pepsi exclusively, and it ended up feeling like it was like politics. If you preferred Coke you were some sort of left-leaning Commie, haha. And they would throw the cans away when they could be redeemed for a nickel.
It was beneath them to even rinse them out and donate them to some charity. Yeesh - some people !

reply

I'll go one step further: since drink soda, both regular Coke and Pepsi is too heavy/syrupy for me. Pepsi , in general, has less of the syrupy-aftertaste than Cola.
And Pepsi has now put the Aspartame back into diet Pepsi that they omitted about a year ago, since the Splenda didn't' taste as good and likely was not selling as well.

reply

I don't drink soft drinks anymore but when I did I preferred Coke. It always made my teeth feel kind of funny though. Not sticky but a bit odd, Cherry Coke was even worse for it.

Pepsi always tasted a bit more watery to me.

reply

Pepsi doesn't give you the sugar hit that coke does. It only gives you a half of one and is much less satisfying.

reply

Pepsi is bland sugar water. Coke has actual flavors.
