What do you want to watch this week?

This week I’m going to rewatch a little gem I discovered on Netflix last year. It has a rating of 4.9 on IMDB and 42 on Meta so I am in a small group of people to have a soft spot for this movie. It’s called American Hero (2015). I hope a few of you will give it a chance, I can’t wait to see what you guys are going to think about it.

On Netflix I got Blade of the immortal (2017) by Takashi Miike. (Kawada, where you at?)

On DVD I got options: Changeling (2008), Her (2013), Enemy (2013), Kingsman Golden Circle (2017), Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

On bluray: Army of Darkness (1992) which I had to put aside last week and finally; I shall continue Ash VS Evil Dead S2.

So that’s me, how bout you?

I might go see the new Mission Impossible movie in the theater. Haven't been to the theater in over a year. I've also got a few movies from Netflix to watch; unsure which ones I'll get to this week.

On Netflix I got Blade of the immortal (2017) by Takashi Miike. (Kawada, where you at?)

Heh. I haven't seen that one yet. I'm not crazy about Miike in general, though he's made some good stuff. I might check it out.

i completely forgot that blade of the immortal was on netflix. i added it to my list when it popped up, then completely blanked on getting around to it. i will almost certainly watch it this week.

will be interested to hear your take on br2049. i really loved it, despite some undeniable flaws.

i'll almost certainly catch animal house. i've somehow never watched it, and i have a slight obligation to view it because an online friend watched one of my annoying art-house indie films with the understanding i'd watch animal house in return.

the original 1968 planet of the apes is playing in a local theatre this wednesay, so i'll probably take the opportunity to see it on a big screen, even though i've probably seen it a half dozen times.

there's also a british film called beast from 2017 playing at the indie cinema down the street. i haven't heard much about it, and i didn't totally love the looks of the trailer i saw, but it has pretty solid reviews, so i might check it out.

and, since it's apparently going to continue to be miserably hot here, i expect i'll watch a ton of trash as well. when it's this warm out, i find it easy to wallow in simple, trashy horror.

I found 'Fox Trap' on Amazon Prime...its kind of cool, English/Agatha Christie/80's slasher...pretty enjoyable
