Ya know, it probably beats heartless. But gutless submits to the heartless, and then the heartless win and the cycle continues. But they were lousy choices😉

I suppose I'd rather be gutless.
I've often thought I'd rather lose and be on the right side of an argument than win and be on the wrong side.
Winning at any cost does not appeal to me, and if I were faced with some sort of Zero-Sum Sophie's Choice, I hope I would sacrifice my own comfort so as not to inflict discomfort on someone else.
