It's a good idea to own a suit and I need to update mine to fit my middle aged body as I am a good ten pounds above the weight of my youth. By all means bring someone to judge styles and colors. Usually best to keep towards simplicity in style and color.

you seem to have a low opinion of women. If that is your experience, just go to the store, ask the sales person to help you choose a suit for a wedding. Be sure to tell this person how much money that you can afford to spend.
