Excellent podcast that delves into the themes and ideas of movies. Very literate, yet accesible host and guests. People who actualky think about movies in a non-dork, non-fanboy way... Highly recommended and there is nothing out there like it. Probably the most thoughtful podcast on movies... Listen to any episode where they discuss a movie you have seen and see for yourself...
2. Bret Easton Ellis podcast:
Great podcast by the iconic writer, mostly about movies, somewhat about the culture at large... Quality monologues (a real treat 😎) and interviews... A must listen.
Notable mention... For general, spoiler free, movie news and commentary, Movie Geeks United are ok. Some good interviews in their archieves...

I'm currently liking more of the story telling podcasts, although the really good ones are hard to come by. I am trying to stay away from politics as it's currently really depressing how much hatred is out there, plus not being American I am really sick of American politics dominating everything right now.
I recently started listening to Mental Illness Happy Hour, which I'm enjoying, but I'm trying to find episodes closer to the hour mark. I will certainly check out some of your suggestions so thank you!
