Items from film/tv you want for your home?

A circular rug from The Hobbit films, I actually got something similar!
Monroe's butchers block kitchen table from Grimm.

reply

Any horror action figure, I'm looking for Freddy Krueger one now.

reply

I've this item twice in two different movies from the 40's or 50's.
I'm sure it was the same one.

It's a pop up bar cart type thing.
When you open the top, the bottom rises up.
The bottom has all the booze and glasses and things.
Then when you close it it goes back down.
When it closes it looks like a little cabinet or table.

I thought that was pretty cool.
I found a bigger one on the internet that was nice.
It was $5,000.

reply

Oo yes I know what you mean.
Did you get it?
If not do you have any kind of fancy cocktail cabinet? Like a globe or something?

reply

No, I didn't get that. Still would have liked to get a smaller one for the martini hour!
I've seen those globe ones.
I love how they have all these things for people to hide their love of alcohol.

I have a huge mudroom. I built a counter with shelves in the front to hold all my booze.
It's about 10 ft. long and 3 ft. wide. This is basically my bar.
About 20-25 bottles, glasses, blender, shaker, mixers etc... I keep all my wine and beer over flow on one end.
It works out very well.

When you come in my back door and look straight ahead it's the first thing you see.
People who come to my house already know so there's no reason to hide it!

I'd have some great orbital parties in that Imperial Shuttle. Lots of space to fully furnish it in the cargo area, room for a bar, etc.

reply

You guys!
How are you going to fit that in your home?

reply

No, it will BE my home. That's another way to interpret your topic title!

reply

2018 Cadillac Ciel Convertible from the movie "Entourage"

reply

I'd love to live in the windmill house from Death Trap!
I loved that house!
There are other things from film and TV that I love.
I'll get back to you as I think of them....

reply

Just thought of something else!
The cool Corvette from Route 66!

reply

Which one? The show was sponsored by Chevrolet, so each year they drove the then-current model. Appearance was the most obvious difference. The earlier models had kind of a rounded rear, while the final model, the one from 1962, the year before the Sting Ray was introduced, had a flatter rear section, identical to the rear of the Sting Ray convertible; and also had fuel injection. That would be my choice, in red and cream, of course. Buzz and Tod wouldn’t have it any other way.

reply

I never really noticed, but I do prefer the earlier model. That looked much sportier!
Naturally, I'd like mine in red! I see that blue one in the picture. It just dosn't do it for me.
When you get right down to it though, I like it in black and white! LOL!

Just thought of another house I love. It's Miss Daisy's from Driving Miss Daisy. There is just something about it that reminds me of my grandmother's home when I use to stay with her.
My home isn't nearly so big, but mine is older and somewhat like that. I even have the big pantry. It has the same vibe.
