Led Zeppelin vs The Beatles...

Of all the great rock acts that i love i can only think of two stand out TITANS...Led Zeppelin and The Beatles
By the numbers...

The Beatles:
Active from 1962-1970
217 songs
12 Albums
Real world beaters and they could rock various genres
My mom wanted to marry Ringo but that never happened lol!

Led Zeppelin:
Active from 1968-1980
108 songs
9 Albums
Zep brought the METAL, could do country and reggae, their stage antics were untouchable and your sister wishes she had Robert Plant's hair...

Which band was better???
Tough question!

Im going ALL in on Led Zeppelin but damn it is hard to choose!

What do you MC rock fans think?

reply

I don't see The Beatles as a similar genre to Led Zeppelin but I would choose The Beatles. Mr.D would go with the opposite😉

reply

i suppose its debatable...i just chose two monsters from the rock/pop game that had similar influences and could do a variety of sounds better than anyone

Another poster suggested The Who vs The Rolling Stones...talk about a head scratcher!

Thx

reply

I like them both!

reply

Well arent you a sly one!
There ARE rules here Slim!!

Actually, i think you answered correctly and ruined my silly game
So thanks for that😛

reply

OK, if you insist. . .. Led Zeppelin.

reply

Thanks...and to be honest it was an impossible choice for most of us lol

I really liked LZ back in the day. Too bad Robert Plant let himself gain weight, etc. Getting older is a fact of life, and I hoe he starts taking care of himself.

reply

He sure was a handsome son of a gun back then...i heard him interviewed some time ago
He was a bit gruff but seemed to be trying to act the sport

reply

Zep were better at their instruments, but that's the only area where I'd put them ahead of The Beatles. Stadium hard rock isn't really my favorite, while The Beatles are maybe my favorite band.

reply

Perfectly reasonable...i keep going back and forth and what you say about the skills on instruments is certainly relevant
Thanks for the opinion Count

Pleased to chat with you btw...not sure that weve 'met' before
Keep it rocking bud!
