Giorgio Moroder

What do we all think of this popular and legendary and even influential Italian electronic/pop/electro-disco/film-soundtrack musician, who recently turned 78 by the way, and which tracks and albums do we all like best from him?

SO no one has heard much of him?

i have a few of his solo albums, though i'm blanking on the titles at the moment. i have them on vinyl, all of which is in storage & not accessible. i know one of them is 'from here to eternity,' because who could forget that horribly ugly cover.

but it's certainly as donna summer's producer that i know him best. i know he did a sparks album or two, but it's been so long since i listened to them, & i honestly can't recall which ones. but i really love the summer disco singles. i feel love is an incredibly exciting, vibrant song to me. bad girls is a genuinely great album, but if i were to point anyone to a must listen for moroder music, i'd just say pick up 'on the radio' which is a rock solid compilation.

He's solid... I'm sure most people have heard of him from his Daft Punk song, on their latest album...

Great music to drive to... 😎
