are you asking for remakes that are good? ie not embarrassments compared to the original? i'm a little dense, no doubt, but i'm a bit unsure of the wording in your subject line.

if you are, then i agree with both of your choices, & i'd add the 70s version of invasion of the body snatchers.

yeah , I was paraphrasing the other thread about bad remakes in the title

I think that 'good' is subjective, but these are ones that I liked, that haven't been mentioned already.
