House Hunt Update

I'm still house-hunting. The real estate market is extremely competitive, even more so than I initially thought going into it. Yesterday I viewed a beauty: perfect size, great condition, good location, reasonably priced, etc. I was head over heels. My realtor and loan officer (who pre-approved me for a home loan) both said it was a great investment, so I submitted an offer and crossed my fingers. With my realtor's help, I made my offer as attractive as humanly possible. I had to get a bit risky since there were two other offers I was competing against, but it was doable. Just a few hours after sending my offer, my realtor texted me to say that the seller accepted one of the other offers because it was "just a little bit better" than mine. She and my loan officer had prepared me for that and told me not to get discouraged by it, and I'm not. I'm hitting the ground running, furiously continuing to look. But hoo boy, the housing market is a shark tank!
