Would "Stand By Me" count? The entire story revolves around a child being killed but he's dead when it starts.
In "Journey for Margaret," children are killed during the London bombing--at least one is shown being carried out dead.
The movie "M" is about a serial killer who targets young children. I have never watched it nor wanted to.
One movie I didn't make it through was "Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder," about the Vietnam war. As soon as kids started being injured and killed I was done.
Another film in which I think a child is killed is "Don't Look Now." My family forced me to sit through this as the book was good but the movie made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
If you want to count disappeared, never seen again, presumed dead, try "Picnic at Hanging Rock" which is also said to be good and doesn't entirely make sense.
