Is your favorite band/performer still alive?

Can you still attend a live show because they can too?

reply

Alive
Radiohead
Peter Gabriel
Julian Cope
Iggy Pop

Dead
Kurt Cobain
Bowie
Joe Cocker
Amy Winehouse
Johnny Cash

reply

Seriously digging your dead list! Know very few on the alive oneπŸ˜‰ of all listed...which one is your fav...is seeing them live still an option?

reply

I've seen Radiohead three times now and the odds of them touring Australia again in the future are pretty good.

I don't hold much hope for Gabriel coming down here. I've missed the past tours.

I would walk over my own mother to see Julian Cope but I'd have to travel to the UK for any chance to see him (I recommend you check out his albums Peggy Suicide and Jehovahkill)

With Iggy anything's possible

reply

So you are pretty well set...seen most you wanted to...and could potentially see some of them again

reply

The Stones, man!

My second favorite act of ALL TIME!!! Seen every tour since still life and on most...multiple shows per tour!

reply

As they say, a thousand bands play rock music, the Stones ARE rock music!

To this day the words " ladies and gentelmen" can only be followed by..."the rolling stones" in my mind...

reply

Amen, Bro!

reply

And you have obviously seen them right? I know you travel a lot...seen them abroad?

reply

Yes. I only saw them once in 1989, a "Steel Wheels" concert.

That was an awesome tour...perhaps my favorite!!! Saw them at Cleveland municiple stadium with over 100 thousand...it was nuckin futts! Hey...at least you got to see them with Bill Wyman...anyone that saw voodoo lounge and beyond got a less than complete version of the band...unless you ponied up to go to Hyde park for the 50th...which of course I did...

reply

Yes it was!

reply

No, I was born in 1982, so all my favorites are dead, dying, or retiring... I saw some great shows, and thanks to the internet, I can listen to music and movies I love without wasting a minute on crap made after I was born.

reply

Oh I don't know...I found loads to listen to after '82...but I do have a fondness for stuff that dates back centuries as well😳 my big thing is to not hate any music...there is some I just don't listen to😊

reply

Ringo and Paul are still alive, last time I checked.

reply

Tom Petty was amongst my favorite, and I was so close to seeing him at Summerfest this past summer, but didn't go at the last minute. He was dead not long after and I'm pretty broken up about it still.

reply

I feel you buddy! Got to see petty Dylan and the dead back in '86or'87...they closed the show down with all three performing knocking on heavens door...fairly profound! Sorry you missed seeing himπŸ˜”

reply

None of the Radiohead members have died yet.

reply

Yeah...I figured...thought they were a more recent band...like last decade or so...paltrows husband is the singer?

reply

No, that's Chris Martin from Coldplay.

Thom Yorke's (the Radiohead singer) partner actually recently died.

reply

Yep! I don't know how cause they're about 100 years old, but the STONES, Man! As they say, a thousand bands play rock music, the Stones ARE rock music.
