Montgomery Clift

The Big Chill (1983) A group of seven former college friends gather for a weekend reunion at a South Carolina winter house after the funeral of one of their friends.

Cast: Tom Berenger (Sam), Glenn Close (Sarah), Jeff Goldblum (Michael), William Hurt (Nick), Kevin Kline (Harold) and more!

This is one of those movies I wish would just continue long after it ends. I love the cast and I love the characters. I want to know what happens to each of them after that weekend!

reply

Good one!

Imagine if they hadn't cut out Costner's scenes.

reply

I wish they hadn't done that!

reply

I've never seen an uncut version.
Does it even exist?

reply

I have a 15th anniversary collector's addition with special features. My husband bought it for me for Christmas about 8 years ago. There's a retrospective documentary where they talked about some of the scenes they shot. It was flashbacks of them with their friend, Alex (Costner)during their college days. They never made the movie. Sadly, they never made the documentary either.

reply

Castaway.

I can't remember who played Wilson or if he was nominated for best supporting actor, but it's a darn shame we haven't seen him in other costarring roles.

"Let's watch Dynasty while you sneak mini-marshmallows down the back of my turtleneck."

reply

I'll I can say is "Wilson got screwed!"
Damn Hollywood politics.

So glad they didn't choose Adidas for this role.
He's much to pretentious for my tastes.

reply

Wilson getting screwed, huh? I guess he's lucky he wasn't a grapefruit or a pumpkin. That screwing might have gotten literal.

reply

They tried.

You need to watch the Director's cut outtakes.
It'll change your life.
