I think it's an underrated masterpiece, the best Ripper movie by far. The Royal conspiracy, though it has long since been debunked, is nevertheless still fascinating.

8/10 I agree that it's underrated. One of Johnny Depp's best movies.

I really liked this movie and I've seen it several times. I thought those black, demonic eyes of The Ripper when he was finally unmasked were an especially good and creepy touch. Yes, it's underrated. 7.5/10.

Yeah and Holm and Depp's performances were great
