V.I.C.K.Y. from Small Wonder: The Movie does not qualify as there is no production schedule at this time.

Her mom was awesome, though.

That leaves Kim Cattrall in Mannequin with hopes she defeats SJP once and for all.

"If Furley sees us like this, we'll all get thrown out of here!"

Milla Jovovich as Alice in the Resident Evil movies.

Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager.

Katee Sackoff as Starbuck in the Battlestar Galactice reboot.

Daisy Ridley seems lovely but the male writers and directors forgot to give her character any depth or believability.

The OP asked about heroines in movies, not about in TV shows.

Jane Fonda- Barbarella

Oh hell yes!

Ripley, but really only in Aliens, certainly not in Alien or any that came after Aliens. The minute she took the wheel of that troop transport and charged in to save the trapped Marines, Ripley became RIPLEY. You really have to see the Director's Cut of Aliens, which include scenes that explain Ripley's motivation, especially for her fierce bond with Newt. "Get away from her, you BITCH!!" My, how Sigourney Weaver can act!

reply

While she's only in two episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" I always found Sito Jaxa's story one of the better ones in the "Star Trek" universe.

reply

Disagree Kane
She was awesome in Alien as well

reply

But doesn't Ripley get those Marines killed by suggesting to Gorman that he order them to relinquish their weapons?

reply

Was that meant for Kane or me?

reply

Either. I'm just curious if that's true or not (I haven't seen the film in the while).

And I really like Ripley in the first one (except when she endangers the crew to look for her stupid cat -- and, please, believe me, I'm no cat-hater but if I'm on a ship and a xenomorph is running around I'll call my cat once and if that cat doesn't come -- and cats don't often come when called -- you know what: "Fuck her."

The Colonial Marines were ordered to leave ALL weaponry behind because there was a reactor in the sector...no telling what heavy weapons could do to that reactor

I think the whole mission was screwed up to start with but yes, i think Ripley suggested it was a bad idea to go in guns first
