How were all the posts transfered from IMDB?

Does IMDB own these boards, did they put the archived posts on here? Or is this site totally independent from IMDB, and the webmasters used clever trickery to lift all the posts?

Perhaps the IMDb forum pages were printed and then faxed to a data entry company.

I heard someone data mined every IMDB post and uploaded it all to torrent sites.
