How can the current crop of gods we worship be real when all the past ones are mostly now dismissed as myth?

I'm not trying to bash religion I'm just curious -- if every other past belief system is no more why wouldn't obsolescence claim one day our current belief systems as well?

I wonder if anyone is an omnitheist, and believes in every god that has ever been believed in.

Apparently there have been about 320,000,000 gods! An omnitheist would be very busy.

There's "omnism" which is " the recognition and respect of all religions" according to Wikipedia.
