"Nothing lasts forever."
Assuming that quote is true, how have you learned to cope with it?
I don't know if I've ever fully coped with the fact that everything is transient.

Enjoy every day as if it were your last, and love your family and friends, and be kind to people. Make the best of the time you have.

You're welcome. Glad to help.
And if you have the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance. I know this is a line from a corny song, but it's true. When you get old you will not regret so much the things you did, but rather the things you did NOT do.

There's a late-1970's-early 1980's song called "nothing lasts forever", but I forget who plays it.

Do you mean Kansas, "Dust in the Wind"?:

Nope. The song I'm thinking of was entirely different, and was played by a totally different group. I do remember the song 'I hope you dance" that you mentioned, and I liked that a lot, but it's still not the song I've been thinking of.

Uh-oh. Someone's hitting another milestone tonight. One more hownos!
shareI take that quote as a good thing! It means that everything in life is scarce and limited, thus making it valuable. It also means troubles are temporary. Things that are unlimited are too easily taken for granted, and the value is reduced.
My own version of that wisdom: "Relax, it's just life. It's not permanent."
=)
I guess that's a good way of seeing it! Thanks!
