Do you write stories?

I do...as a matter of fact I'm writing one now.

reply

please tell

reply

My stories kinda suck. I'll share when I feel more confident about my writing abilities....

reply

what do you write about in general ??

reply

Fiction stories in the following genres: comedy, romance, action, sci-fi, and fantasy. I have yet to complete a real story, though.

In my reply to db20db, I'll tell you what I'm writing about now.

reply

Writers are notoriously self critical. It's like being involved in a love/hate relationship.

reply

Hehe...perhaps.

Stephen King pitched Carrie in the trash when he finished it. His wife retrieved it, started reading and persuaded him to try getting it published. It launched his prolific career.

reply

Wow...that's pretty awesome. Guess I should never give up, huh?

reply

What do you do with the stories you've written ?

reply

I post them to a site called "Fictionpress.com". There people can read and review them. I suppose I can give out the link here:

reply

What's your feedback like ? I might give it a look.

reply

Well, I don't really get a lot of reviews, but if I do, they're sorta positive I guess. Or maybe people are just following the policy of "if you can't say anything nice...."

reply

Objective criticism is crucial. I had a private instructor for awhile. Sometimes I would accept his advice, sometimes I went with my gut.

reply

I agree.

I have, non-fiction as well but not in quite awhile. What are you working on?

reply

I'm working on a comedy-romance set in Las Vegas. It's about two strangers who meet in that town. Kinda inspired by "Lost in Translation".
