As for intentionally hot mums for comedic effect, there's Will's mom in the Inbetweeners, played by Belinda Stewart Wilson.

Shirley Jones, the Partridge Family. She was plenty cute on the show, but when she was a bit younger, she was as gorgeous as Donna Reed. And hey, that's another gorgeous TV mom.

I did think of Flo Henderson. She was bright and pretty and perky, but not quite in the Jones & Reed category.
Seriously, in the movie roles Reed & Jones were in, they were incredibly fresh and bright. Wasn't Shirley Jones in Elmer Gantry, and Reed in From Here to Eternity? They were gorgeous, iirc. Plus Jones in Oklahoma. What a great role in a great movie.
