shareGrowing up in Eastern Canada we used to participate in Mummers play - basically people would dress up and visit neighbors - used to go on for the 12 days of Christmas. Involved a lot of food and booze.

On new years eve we a have this tradition called "little horses"'.Basically people dress in red and white with a horse shape - like made from wood. The leader is called "captain",we dancing around and sing.I was the "captain" of a small group myself a few years ago.Great memories
shareNot a very old tradition but for the last 12 years I adopt a family for Christmas .
On Christmas Eve I go to the shelter and serve food.
On Christmas day I have a big dinner for any of the college kids who don't have family
or can't get home for the holidays.
We go to Bronners in Michigan. Google it,it's insane.
shareWatching certain movies, eggnog, and opening a gift on xmas eve. (the last one not so much as we became adult.) We used to go to church, but no so much anymore either.
