Best Movies Where Strangers Meet? (no love interest)

I'd go with "A Taste of Cherry" by Kiarostami.... What I love most is that they are all strangers, and you feel the unease of not knowing, and even that is inherent.. But then again, this is the man who did "Close-Up" which is almost a duplication of what happened with the same people it happened to.

Seems some of the best movies have themes of being on the road, a trip, meeting random people, and the relationships between the characters is great if the movie has a great writer. Of course, the acting helps.

"Harry and Tonto" is a great example, too.. He sees his children for a day or two, but it's mostly random people hitchhiking, or whatever.
