Smallville's Allison Mack

she's second in command of a sex cult - I guess her acting career has fizzled out

reply

Weird! No wonder Clark chose Lana over her.

In all honesty, I am not really sure what a sex cult is, although it may sound fun, the beatings and brandings make it less fun. How does one even get involved with a sex cult? Is it just a bunch of people kicking each others asses? The sex cult has no sex?

reply

But doesn't that make her an empowered woman or something?

Depends on the paper publishing I suppose.

I hope she gets help, I liked the character of Chloe more than any of the others in that show (The little of it that I saw).

Faced life in prison without a plea. No way should she have let it go to trial. Now the max is 40 years.

I feel bad for Macks parents. They had to put up their house as collateral for the bond.

Did you ever listen to the podcast?
https://www.cbc.ca/radio/podcasts/current-affairs-information/uncover/

I found all three seasons interesting, but season 1 is the leaving nxvim one.

reply

Just caught episode one. Very powerful. That branding must have been painful.

reply

I'm sure there will be a new update soon with the guilty verdict.

Unrelated, season 2 of Uncover was really good as well. It's called Bomb on Board and it's about CP flight 21.

reply

I never heard of this CP Flight 21 explosion. I was just reading up on it. There were four suspects.

reply

The podcast goes into that. There were a few, but there was nothing that could be proven. I recommend giving it a listen.

reply

So it was suicide mission.

There are no definitive answers, but it was an incident that I knew nothing about and just found it really interesting.

If you like True Crime stuff, there is a Calgary based podcast that's really good. It's a Global production called Crime Beat with Nancy Hixt. I've enjoyed (I don't know if enjoy is the correct word) every episode.

The reply by Sandoz is gold!
Where did that one go and why did we let them wander off?!?
